As the rescue grows, an additional kennel assistant is needed for various tasks. Those with shelter experience are encourage to apply. Additional opportunities exists for great match.

Hands-on experience with the GSD breed is required. Those with experience dog testing are highly preferred.

​

Task include but are not limited to:

Cleaning kennels

Escorting dogs outside to dog run areas

Laundry

Washing dog bowls

Clearing dog runs of dog feces

This position requires a special person who possesses:

Attention to detail

Situation awareness

Priority given to the safety and care of the dogs 

Dependability 

Physically able to be on your feet for 8 hours

Capable of completing tasks within a set time

Healthy in mind and body

​

The environment will or may include:

Dog urine, feces, vomit, slobber

Scratches, nips, being jumped on

Loud barking 

Slippery floors, working with water

​

Work hours/days:

May vary by need

Holidays are mandatory, major holidays paying more

Some weekend work required

Pay

Starting pay: $16 per hour with review every 90 days prior to potential increase. Those who demonstrate capability, dependability, and experience, have a higher earning potential along with future opportunities.
